It would appear that I am painting something nearly every day... which is great! I thought about doing one of those 'draw/paint one thing every day for 30 days' things, but as soon as I commit to something like that, the inevitable happens, and the very next day, I don't paint anything as some kind of internal rebellion.
So, here's to not doing a 30 day drawing challenge, and just drawing and painting when I feel like it!

Keeping on with the search for agencies/illustration jobs/ day jobs... want to hire me? The time is now!

Recently came across this fabulous illustrator - Alexander Vidal
Really beautiful, colourful images of natural places and far flung reaches of the globe. Great style and punchy colours, just as I like it. I love the lady with the Gharial.

Having recently arrived back home from being in the wonderful place that is Vermont,
I am starting to sort out my home studio so that I'm able to work efficiently. Things are coming together, and although the search for day to day jobs is going slow, there is some hope.
I guess I've been feeling pretty down lately, I always seem to get the blues after traveling for extended periods of time. I never want to leave! I'm missing all the Vermont/Middlebury community, and one of my best friends. Time will heal!
But for now, because I'm feeling blue, here are some paintings along that theme.
May have a really interesting project in the pipelines soon!
Also, this year I'm hoping to be able to save enough money to attend a 12 day permaculture course up in Scotland, and also a 4 day intensive cob house building course in Norfolk... fingers crossed that I can make this happen!

Recently unearthed some nice drawings when I was going through my sketchbooks from last year, or even the year before that. So I've cleaned up a couple of the nicer images.
A typography experiment, working on tea names, using leaf lettering.
A decorated (carved bamboo) tea scoop
You don't get away from tea for too long when you read my blog I'm afraid!
